Good morning everyone!!!!! Hope that everyone is having a good work week :) its been a few days and once again I am here for another installment of customer mishaps. Hope you missed me :) lol!!!!
Today I want to talk about customers who are always in a rush. I work at a FULL SERVICE restaurant, meaning you sit down and I serve you till you leave. Unfortunately, I work at an airport restaurant, so you already know that people are in a rush or nervous that they'll miss their flight. Believe me, it doesn't help one bit! Even though, we are in an airport the rules still apply as if you were to visit a street side restaurant. You have to WAIT for your food!!!! If you're in a rush, there is what is called FAST FOOD, and there are plenty of options in the airport. If you don't want fast food than you shouldn't be in a rush if you want to eat in a full service establishment. You look like an idiot when you ask if I can rush your food! No problem, let me ignore the 50+ people that got here before you so you can get your food first, NO!!!!! I will not!!!! You can wait like everyone else, first come first serve!!!! Unless, you want your food to be raw then be my guest, but don't hold it against me because you have no patience. Seriously, people!!!! Do you not think about that before you enter a place to eat. Do I have time to eat here? If not, where else could I go so I'm not an inconvenience? But nope, you just have to be annoying and be unbearable to the person who is serving you!!!
I've learned not to make any exceptions to this rule! I have gone out of my way before to get people's order out as fast as possible, and what do I get a "thank you so much!" and a 10% or lower tip!!!! Are you kidding me?!?!?! I am sorry, but "thank you so much" doesn't pay my bills, and if you think that a 10% or lower tip is showing gratitude for rushing your order out, IT'S NOT!!!!! So don't bother me with "I'm in a rush" and if you can speed out my food, because all I hear is "BLAH, BLAH, BLAH!!!!!" and I personally don't care. For those that actually tip correctly when someone does go out of their way to serve you quickly, I'm sorry! But be mad at those that ruined that opportunity for you, because there are way more of them than you out there! So they messed it up for all of you!!!!
Once again speaking my mind and I'm sure that there are many that have worked in this industry that agree 100% with me!! One of these days I will take the time to discuss tipping procedure at full service restaurants. It is obvious that a lot of people out there need to be schooled on this!!!
Thanks for hearing me out once again and I hope everyone can learn from this or whatever, just ignore it, its not gonna affect me none the less!!!!
Until we meet again....xoxo!!!!
