Slow but still eventful...let's talk about TC's...

Happy Labor Day!!! :) 5.55 hour workday and a slow one it was! But as always there is something that happens that gives me something to blog about.
First off, I would like to give a shout out to my coworkers who are supporting me with this blog, and who also are willing to let me know what they encounter during their workday to help me post on my blog (you know who you are).
I would also like to give a shout out  to my customers that even though you don't know you are inspiring me with this blog writing, you are! LOL!!!!
9/3/2012, My first day working in the month of September. The month of September, beginning of our slow season (which sucks!!!!) I usually work mornings on Mondays so its 50/50 if it will be busy or not, and as you can see it wasn't busy at all today, but then again it gave me time to observe interactions not only with my customers but with my coworkers customers.
Today I want to discuss, Teenage Customers aka Young Adults. I will call them TC's in this case. When I refer to TC's I am talking about young adults that are not accompanied by their parents, they are eating in the restaurant on their own, or even worse with a group of their friends. I have had a few times where I have had to serve this group of TC's, where some have been taught to respect and behave while they're not under parent supervision, while others act a complete fool! The TC's I will be talking about today are obviously the ones that have no respect and think they can do or say whatever they want, and think it is actually funny. (Sorry to bust your bubble but its not!!!!)
This was just an observation today, I just so happen to walk by this table and over hear what these TC's were discussing. I understand that kids will be kids, but COME ON!!!! I don't understand why people, in general, think they deserve to get something free when they do absolutely NOTHING!!!!! So, as I was walking past this table, I overheard one of the girls saying, "I wish someone was courteous enough to give me a free dessert". Honestly, what did you do or provide me to want to offer or give you a free dessert. The thing that gets me is that they want a free dessert yet they were paying for they bill mostly in coins, so it is obvious that my coworker didn't get much of a tip on this table. I know that this group of girls have been to a restaurant with their parents or family and have been shown how to tip properly, or at least I hope they have. So don't come to a full service restaurant where you know you have to tip and expect something free when you have done nothing to deserve it!
I just want to make it clear to everyone in general, that most servers that I know don't get paid much, not even close to minimum wage. So our income comes from the tips that you leave us. I will discuss more about proper tipping in another blog post. I can understand that some people work harder than others and some might not deserve a proper tip, but be respectful to those who do. It irritates me when I work my butt off to make sure you are taken care of and you disrespect me by not tipping me enough or at all in some circumstances. No tip = No income, please keep that in mind. That is what gets to me when it comes to TC's because some of them don't understand or are taught that until one day they become servers themselves.
Just a lil FYI, not only to TC's but to their parents, educate educate educate! Especially, if you allow to go out on their own, or hang out with their friends at restaurants. Don't make us suffer and have to deal with their foolishness and get screwed at the end because they find it to be funny (to them that is)! I don't like it when people mess with my income and disrespect me, because I wouldn't do that myself.
I know I sound like I'm venting and I know I am, but its the truth and I am sure that many other servers/waiters/waitresses will agree with me. Also, I know that TC's are not the only ones to blame because there are also grown adults who are know for doing the same and acting like children. Monkey see Monkey do I guess you can see. So we need to teach and learn from each other.....its easy.....RESPECT!!!!
